It definitely strained a friendship when I gave this CD as a gift. This band is an acquired taste at the best of times, so getting your head around their version of Christmas may be a stretch for some people. That said, I personally relish throwing this puppy into the in-laws' five platter CD player to break up the monotony.


It's fun, frivolous, toe-tapping music. It may be a bit quirky, but hey, what is a normal Christmas anyway? If you are looking for levity try this bluegrass/swing hybrid of a group. It's worth a listen for the amusement factor alone.
