Get a big gift box, preferably one in sizzling
scarlet so he knows what he's
in for. Fill it with a bottle of wine and
two sleek wineglasses. Get a box of
the finest chocolates you can find. Add a
couple of CDs for setting the
mood. Take a trip to your local adult novelty
store and buy a few things
you've never even heard of. Put in a small
book that you can read lying
next to one another, such as a book of romantic
poetry, or one about
romantic astrology. Include a few blank index
cards and a pen. Take turns
writing down a wish or fantasy, show one another
and act them out. Finish
the box off with a few scented candles and
heaps of red tissue paper.
Make a Lovers' Coupon Book
Buy a sheaf of red construction paper. Using
your computer or some colored
markers, design a pile of coupons your honey
can redeem with you anytime
Include coupons for: a romantic dinner, a
night on the town, breakfast in bed,
and a massage. Get wild. Draw coupons for:
something you've never done
before, like a completely spontaneous day,
a long drive without a preset
destination. Include a few gestures you usually
avoid (and hope he doesn't
redeem them all): a Sunday afternoon watching
football, washing all his
dishes. Staple all the coupons together and
stuff into his stocking or place
on his pillow.
