Amy Grant: A Christmas to Remember
Reviewed by: Kimberley May Maurice

For me, Christmas is a time of serenity and joy. Of all the Christmas CD's that I have listened to over the years, my favourite would have to be Amy Grant’s Home For Christmas album. It has a great collection of the fun classic songs such as, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, Joy to the World, O Come All Ye Faithful, and Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree, but what is great about this album is that it also has some less common songs. A few songs talk about less trivial issues like world peace, and wishes for an end to human suffering, which is refreshing.

Overall, the album is rich in spirit and sound. It has heart, and avoids sounding cheesy or overdone. If you’re looking for an album that really reflects the “peace on earth, good will toward men” mentality, then this is it. Bringing this album out for the Holiday Season always feels like being re-united with an old friend. That, I believe, is what Christmas music is all about.
