Highly recommended - 5 Beans Out of 5

From the onset of this movie you know you're going to see a martial arts film with a twist. Director Ang Lee approaches the genre from a fresh angle - one that includes strong female characters that are central to plot progression, main characters with supernatural abilities and a luscious film treatment. But, don't fret because Lee has not done away with what makes a martial arts film fun. You will still enjoy the stylized fighting, variety of weapons and herioc deeds you have come to expect.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is best enjoyed if you look at it as you would a fairytale. A friend complained that the movie reminded him of Star Wars. My take is more Arthurian legend. However you choose to submerge yourself in this movie is up to you. The tasty cinematography and graceful fight sequences make it a delight.
